A day of Nairobi sightseeing that works for children, followed by two nights in the Maasai Mara. You start at the Giraffe Centre, where the Rothschild’s giraffes will take pellets straight from your hand, then move on to Bomas of Kenya for traditional music, dance and a walk through recreated homesteads from communities across the country.
The next morning you head out through the Great Rift Valley to the Mara, with a full day set aside for game viewing. The reserve has one of the densest track networks in Kenya, which means close sightings and easy photography rather than hours of searching. A picnic lunch at Hippo Pool, an optional Maasai village visit, and park fees, meals, drinking water and transfers included throughout make this a short safari that still feels complete.
